Estarriel -- or Esti as you would call her in most informal settings -- is a small girl who has just arrived in the Caira Etoila with her older brother Soriolis. She has a seemingly endless well of optimism and hope, and her spirit is not easily daunted. This may be because she is so young and naive, though given what she has experienced to bring her and her brother to the City, alone, poor, and hungry, one might think that it's simply part of her stubborn nature to be optimistic. Because she is younger and has been taught to respect her elders, she does what her brother tells her; sometimes she is obliging to a fault. Still, beneath her optimism, she has a deep and determined nature that may be surprising to some in such a young child.

Esti is tiny for her age, only about 4'1" tall. She's also skinny (extremely so when she arrives in Caira Etoila, due to lack of food) so she looks fragile despite being an energetic kid. She has brown eyes, auburn hair cut just below her shoulders, and pale skin. Her clothes are simple, in neutral colors; the only outfit she has upon arriving in the city is a (now badly worn) cream colored short-sleeved shirt and brown shorts, which is typical clothing for her.
