Sorl -- that's short for Soriolis in the style of address used in and around Caira Etoila -- has been thrust into the role of provider for himself and his little sister Esti. As he's not quite yet fourteen, it may be more of a struggle than he can handle, but his practicality and perseverance have served him and his sister well so far. He counts on Esti's optimism more than he knows, for he himself has little hope, especially of late. Under the weight of his present situation, he has become more mistrustful than ever, and questions everything, sometimes to a fault. Still, he has been up to every challenge that has faced him so far, and why change would anyone change an attitude that has so far kept him alive?

Sorl is about average height for his age, at 5'2". He's skinny and has the same brown eyes, auburn hair, and pale skin as his sister; it's easy to tell from their appearance that the two are siblings. Sorl wears simple clothing; the only outfit he has with him on his arrival in the City is a brownish-green sleeveless jacket, and dark brown shorts.
