The Story

This story has gone through many variations over the years, which you can read about in the introduction.

This, the third version of Twilight Star, is a story that I hope to submit to a real publishing company some day. Because of that, I will not be posting it in a public forum: to do that would void my first publication rights, which is what those real publishers want most.

I was disappointed at first to think that I would not be able to post my story on-line. I've always depended on comments from on-line friends to improve my work. However, I've come up with what seems to be a way around this catch. If you are interested in reading the story, please join my Twilight Star forum! I will be posting chapters of the new Twilight Star story in a locked, members-only section of the forum. I am told that this does not affect first publication rights, as long as I can control who views it. And YOU, whether you are a longtime reader or someone who just stumbled onto the site today, are more than welcome to join! I always enjoy making new friends. ^_~ If you want to join and read the story, here's what you can do:

  1. Go to the forum.
  2. Register an account. There's a "Register" link just before the forum logo.
  3. Send me a PM (private message) from your new account -- my user name is simply "Jessie." In this message, let me know you'd like to join the Twilight Star forum. (Alternately, you can just make a regular post in an unlocked forum saying you'd like access to the private one, or send me an e-mail at aiko at skygawker dot com. I want to make this easy because I want you to join!)
  4. I'll give you access to the forum, and you can read the story! And then we shall both be happy. Well, at least I know I will be, and I hope you will enjoy it as well.

In the hope of tempting some more prospective readers and critiquers, I will be posting an excerpt from the beginning of the story here in the future, but as it hasn't yet been critiqued by the forum members, it's not here yet.
