Defying Gravity Twilight Star The Carlson Septuplets Akai Kuroi
The truly creative mind in any field is no more than this:
A human creature born abnormally, inhumanly sensitive.
To him...
          a touch is a blow,
          a sound is a noise,
          a misfortune is a tragedy,
          a joy is an ecstasy,
          a friend is a lover,
          a lover is a god,
          and failure is death.
Add to this cruelly delicate organism the overpowering necessity to create, create, create — so that without the creating of music or poetry or books or buildings or something of meaning, his very breath is cut off from him. He must create, must pour out creation. By some strange, unknown, inward urgency he is not really alive unless he is creating.

My original story collection is the heart of this domain, so thanks for taking a look. I hope to publish books for kids and teens one day, but in the meantime, you can see some clips here. The pictures to the left feature my four main projects, which you can read more about on the pages below:

Defying Gravity
realistic fantasy for kids starring a modern Peter Pan wannabe

Twilight Star
contemporary YA fantasy with a spiritual and political twist

The Carlson Septuplets
my oldest and most popular on-line series

Akai Kuroi
the story of a sixteen-year-old American girl who moves to Japan

And hey, if you're interested in my really old work, take a look at an old story I posted over in my About the Author section. As for future works, I've got a few new projects in mind that may make it on to this page one day soon, so stay tuned!
