  p1010624.jpg - Here is a 30 second exposure I took outside of the Observatory after our tour.  The five stars of the Southern Cross are clearly visible in the upper right.  The two brightest stars below it to the right are Beta and Alpha Centauri.  Alpha Cen is our closest stellar neighbor.  I'd always wanted to see it!  We even got to see it through a telescope, where you could see that it's actually a binary star.  VERY cool.
